Punjabi Food At Apna Dhaba Vizag-www.88xoxo.com

Food-and-Drink What you see As we ventured out looking for some good economic eateries in town, we came across this interesting restaurant called Apna Dhaba. Its a typical highway side food joint (dhaba) close to the Naval Coastal battery on Beach Road in Vizag. The restaurant is surrounded by a low boundary wall. The portico area is designed with a blend of contemporary, comfortable seating and a classic Dhaba touch. A khatia (rope weaved cot) and traditional lanterns are perfect props in the ambience along with very soothing lights. For those whod rather sit inside, theres an arrangement there too. What you get – Apna Dhaba is a specialized eatery for North Indian delicacies, especially those traditional Punjabi dishes like Sarso Ka Saag, Makki Roti (corn flour bread), Kulcha, Chana Masala, Rajma etc. There are Chinese and South Indian dishes too. For starters, theres a wide choice of snacks with Tandoor delights like Bharwan Aloo (whole potato stuffed and roasted in Tandoor), Paneer Hariyali Tikka, Paneer Malai Kebab, Chicken Tangri Kebab, Kalmi Kebab, Chicken Tikka, Reshmi Kebab, Mutton Sheek Kebab and more. Fish and prawn preparations are there too. For the main course, if you prefer South Indian food, you can go for Chettinad / Gongura Chicken. Otherwise, wed recommend go Punjabi with Dal Fry that comes tempered in pure ghee. Rajma Masala, Dum Aloo, Malai Kofta and Sarso Ka Saag (Mustard Leaves Curry) along with Rotis, Parathas and Kulchas are worth a try. Non-vegetarians could try Egg Tadka (black lentil fry with scrambled egg), Butter Chicken Masala, Chicken Mughlai (slightly sweet chicken curry with fried egg), Mutton Sagwala (mutton with spinach) and Mutton Rogan Josh that is rich mutton curry prepared with curd and nuts. Theres plenty of variety for rice lovers too with everything from Plain Rice and Jeera Rice to Kashmiri Pulav and Biryani. You can wash these down with Punjab Di Lassi (Rs. 15-25), Punjabi Chaach (Buttermilk), Special Badam Milk (Rs. 25) and Thanda Jal Jeera, along with the usual soft drinks. Our verdict Considering its proximity to prime areas of Vizag, Apna Dhaba turns out to be a popular choice to dine in, especially if you are going to INOX for a movie. The preparations are quite authentic and satisfy the taste buds of even the North Indians in town. Rates seem reasonable. Parking is usually done alongside the main road. Catering and home delivery services are also provided. What you pay for a meal for two Rs. 300 Anytime between – 11.30 AM – 11.30 PM About the Author: 相关的主题文章:
